Smethwick and West Bromwich Children’s Centres were subject to a tendering process during 2012 in order to support Sandwell MBC’s move from 21 individual children’s centres to 7 lots or cluster’s In order to better coordinate services and deliver support to the most vulnerable children and families.
From the 1st of August 2012 Action for Children became the new lead Agency responsible for service delivery and on-going service development across the areas.
Who are Action for Children
The team at Action for Children is made up of approximately 6000 staff and 2000 volunteers. Together, we support and speak out for the UK’s most vulnerable and neglected children and young people for as long as it takes to transform their lives.
